Idaho Unit 64 — free Idaho hunting map
Unit 64 is an Idaho Game Management Unit in the Upper Snake region. Its boundary on HuntTrack comes from Idaho Fish & Game GIS unit data, the same layer already drawn on the live map, alongside USGS PAD-US land ownership, county parcel ownership, Idaho Recreation Trails routes and iNaturalist wildlife sightings.
Scouting Unit 64
Upper Snake country borders Yellowstone and the Tetons: high-elevation basins, Island Park's lodgepole flats and the Teton Valley floor. Mule deer and elk migrate through big, readable country — classic glass-and-stalk terrain with long sightlines. Elevation is the whole game: hunt high early, follow the feed down as October progresses. Winters arrive early up here, so build weather days into any trip and keep an exit route that does not depend on a high pass staying open.
Key species here: Mule deer, Elk, Moose.

- Archery — deer & elk (general)

- Any-weapon deer (general)

- Any-weapon elk (general)
- Opens October 10, 2026 in most of Idaho's 28 elk zones and typically runs through October 24. Zones set their own dates and A/B tag rules — the zone, not just the unit, decides when your tag is valid.
