Idaho Unit 14 — free Idaho hunting map

Unit 14 is an Idaho Game Management Unit in the Clearwater region. Its boundary on HuntTrack comes from Idaho Fish & Game GIS unit data, the same layer already drawn on the live map, alongside USGS PAD-US land ownership, county parcel ownership, Idaho Recreation Trails routes and iNaturalist wildlife sightings.

Scouting Unit 14

The Clearwater is Idaho's rugged middle: deep river breaks along the Clearwater, Lochsa and Selway drainages, rising into the Bitterroot crest and the edge of the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. It is premier elk country, with whitetail in the lower breaks and mule deer on the drier south slopes. Much of it is steep, roadless or trail-only, so hunts here trend toward backpack spike camps. Glass the opposite canyon wall at first light, then commit — cross-canyon stalks eat whole days.

Key species here: Elk, Whitetail deer, Mule deer.
